This page describes how Servd Inc. ("Srvd") collects, uses, shares, and protects information through the Srvd platform, websites, and mobile apps (the "Service"), and includes other legal disclosures about the company. By using the Service you agree to this Privacy notice together with the Srvd Terms & Conditions.
1. Who We Are
Servd Inc. is a Texas corporation operating volunteer-scheduling software for parishes and other organizations. We are the data controller of the personal information you provide directly to us. When an organization uses Srvd to manage its volunteers, we act as a data processor on the organization's behalf for the volunteer records it stores in its workspace.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account info — name, email address, phone number, contact preferences, and password (stored hashed).
- Volunteer profile — role preferences, language(s), time-off / vacation, family linkages, and event preferences.
- Organization info — name, type, timezone, address, ministries / role catalog, and scheduling rules.
- Messages & content — sub-request reasons, notification preferences, in-app messages.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages viewed, features used, device and browser type, IP address, and timestamps. We use this to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Cookies & similar technologies — used for authentication, language preference (the
NEXT_LOCALEcookie), and basic analytics.
3. How We Use Information
- Operate the Service and provide its scheduling features;
- Send transactional notifications (assignments, sub requests, schedule publications, reminders);
- Authenticate users and protect against fraud and abuse;
- Provide customer support and troubleshoot;
- Improve product quality, reliability, and security;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4. How We Share Information
We share personal information only as needed to run the Service:
- Within your organization— admins, ministry leads, and (where appropriate) fellow volunteers can see volunteer profiles, assignments, and household linkages as required by the Service's features.
- Service providers — including Supabase (database, authentication), Vercel (hosting), and our notification providers (email, SMS, push). These vendors process data only on our instructions and under written contracts.
- Legal & safety — when required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Inactive volunteer records may be retained at your organization's discretion. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect personal information, including TLS in transit, encryption at rest where supported by our infrastructure, row-level security on the database, and least- privilege access controls. No system is completely secure; if you suspect a vulnerability or breach, please report it through your organization administrator or the in-Service support channel.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Volunteers can manage most of these directly in Settings → Profile. To exercise additional rights, contact your organization administrator or use the in-Service support channel.
8. Children
Srvd does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Volunteers who are minors are added by an authorized parent or guardian and are managed through a linked household account.
9. International Transfers
We process data in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) where required by law.
10. Third-Party Links
The Service may link to third-party websites or apps. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services; please review their notices separately.
11. Changes to this Notice
We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
